Beats and Bites is Back!
Food, Music, and Family Fun at GBC
Beats and Bites is back on the Great Basin College Elko campus this summer! This free, community-focused event celebrates the best of the season and is made possible through the generous support of Convergence Health (formerly Elko Community Health Center). Held the fourth Thursday of each month through September, Beats and Bites features:
- A rotating lineup of local food trucks
- Live music from regional bands
- Raffle prizes, yard games, and fun for all ages
“We’re excited to bring Beats and Bites back this summer,” said Leslie Maple, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Great Basin College. “It’s a great way to connect, support local students, and enjoy the energy of our community on campus. We’re especially grateful for our sponsor Convergence Health, our volunteers, and the incredible food trucks that make the event possible.”
Location: Chilton Circle, GBC Elko Campus
Dates: Fourth Thursday of each month through September

Open to: Students, staff, and the public

What to Expect
- A family-friendly atmosphere
- A variety of food, beverage, bar, and dessert options to suit every taste
- Seating, restrooms, and plenty of picnic space
- Live music and fun activities
Helpful Tips
- Free parking near the DCIT Building (Elm and 13th) or GBC Theater (College Parkway and Chilton Circle)
- Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome. Please be prepared to clean up after your pet.
- Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged for the perfect summer evening vibe.
