The Women Empowering Women Committee is proud to reaffirm our commitment to inspiring growth, confidence, and meaningful connection among women throughout our community. Empowerment is at the heart of our mission, and with that guiding purpose, we are excited to announce our upcoming Women Empowering Women fundraising event. We are also honored to name Head Start of Northeastern Nevada as our charitable partner for 2026.

Women Empowering Women is a platform devoted to recognizing and celebrating individuals, teams, and organizations—most importantly, the women whose leadership and dedication drive success. Across private and public sectors, and within both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, we honor female entrepreneurs, executives, advocates, and change-makers from all industries, cultures, and communities.

We proudly acknowledge women who lead with confidence, optimism, ambition, and integrity. These women create lasting impact not only as executives, supervisors, and business owners, but also as vital contributors to strong families and thriving communities. Women Empowering Women exists to uplift these achievements and to provide a space where women’s stories, accomplishments, and influence can be recognized, shared, and celebrated.

It is with great enthusiasm that we partner with Head Start of Northeastern Nevada, led by Executive Director Cheri Moring, whose dedication to early childhood education and family support aligns seamlessly with our mission. Under her leadership, the organization continues to strengthen families and create meaningful opportunities for children throughout Northeastern Nevada. Through this partnership, we aim to raise awareness and provide direct financial support for the impactful services Head Start delivers to our community.

The Women Empowering Women event will take place on March 27, 2026, at Stockmen’s Hotel and Casino, beginning at 4:00 PM. As our charitable partner, Head Start of Northeastern Nevada will have the opportunity to raise funds through a silent auction and raffle held during the event. We are pleased to share that 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will be donated directly to support Head Start of Northeastern Nevada’s programs and services.

Since 1971, Head Start of Northeastern Nevada has carried forward President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty” initiative by ensuring children and families have access to essential resources. The organization provides comprehensive services including nutritious meals, health screenings, family support resources, and engaging school readiness programs for qualifying children from birth to age five.

Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and fully state-licensed, Head Start of Northeastern Nevada promotes strong family relationships, educational and employment opportunities, and the physical and emotional well-being of children. The program proudly serves families facing challenging circumstances, including homelessness, foster care placement, low income, developmental disabilities, military deployment, and more. Through collaboration with community partners like Women Empowering Women, Head Start continues to build stronger families and brighter futures across our community.
