Union Pacific Steam Engine Visit-Carlin

In Carlin, on July 8, 2024, the Union Pacific steam engine “Big Boy No. 4014” will be stopping for a brief celebration. Don’t miss this chance to relive railroad history. Big Boy is the largest steam engine in the world. It was built in 1941, along with 19 other engines, as part of the national war effort. Festivities will take place from 9 – 11 am. The Steam Engine is scheduled to arrive at 10 am and depart at 10:30 am. The Location will be at the Carlin City Park area.
There will be a short speech from City representatives and a formal presentation from the Railroad to the City of Carlin. There will be music, food, and souvenirs.
