The Family Resource Center is hosting a free online Teen Health program for teens in grades 5-7 (ages 10-12) in any of the following Nevada counties: Elko, Humboldt, Lander, Pershing, Eureka, and White Pine. Presented using Zoom, a free application for online meetings, once a day for four days, Monday, June 28th – Thursday, July 1st from 3:00-4:45pm each day.

 

Promoting Health Among Teens is a lively, evidence-based, age appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about reproductive health, hygiene, responsibility, avoiding risky behaviors, and build knowledge and confidence. Youth who complete the program receive a free backpack full of school supplies or a $25 store gift card. One free incentive allowed per teen per year. Held at the FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko.
