Spring Break Healthy Teens Program for Grades 8-12 – Elko
Thursday, April 7 from 9:00am-4:00pm
Family Resource Center is hosting a free Healthy Teens program for teens in grades 8-12 (minimum age 13). Making Proud Choices is a lively, evidence-based, age-appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to how to keep themselves safe and handle social pressures. Youth learn about reproductive health, hygiene, effective communication, responsibility, healthy relationships, avoiding risky behaviors, and goal setting. Youth who complete the program receive a free backpack full of school supplies or a $25 store gift card. One free incentive allowed per teen per year. Held at the FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko.
