Bonnie Blair – Nevada Artist

Bonnie Blair is an accomplished Northeastern Nevada Artist. She won Best in Show in the Northeastern Nevada Museum Elko County Art Show. Her winning entry was a foam-board sculpture. The sculpture also won the Silver Award in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
Bonnie gained experience painting murals, while an active member of her art club, which afforded her the opportunity to paint collaborative murals within the school. The following year she painted a piece called “Market Street Triptych”,entered it in the same competition, and won gold in Nevada as well as nationally. The painting was selected to go on a national Art tour that opened in Washington D.C. and was Exhibited in Providence, Rhode Island, and Salt Lake City.
Bonnie is working toward her Associate of Arts Degree at Great Basin College and is working closely with her artistic mentor, Professor Patty Fox. Bonnie is volunteering at Elko County Art Club, a member of the 2018 ECAC Scholastic Awards Committee, and is participating in a new ECAC art education outreach program as an assistant Gallery services coordinator.
