Join us at 6:00pm on Fridays in August at
Lamoille Canyon, Powerhouse Picnic Area.

Free family events, everyone is welcome.
Evenings include a campfire and S’mores.

Friday, August 2

Joe Doucette on How to Fish the Rubies. Some giveaways of kids’ fishing poles to encourage fishing.

Friday, August 9

California Trail Interpretive Center will offer an exploration into the gold rush of 1849. Participants will try their hand at gold panning.

Friday, August 16

Local historians Jan Petersen and Judy Byers will talk about the Elko Lamoille Power Plant beginnings in the canyon.

Friday, August 23

Delynn and Duane Jones will put on the always popular Dutch oven cooking demonstration. Types and sizes of Dutch oven pots, and techniques for cooking.

Option: Group picnic area gate opens at 5 pm, bring a picnic supper
