Healthy Teens Program for Grades 8-12
Thursday June 29, 9:00am-4:00pm
Family Resource Center is hosting a free Healthy Teens program for teens in Grades 8-12 (minimum age 13). “Making Proud Choices” is a lively, evidence-based, age-appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about reproductive health, hygiene, responsibility, healthy relationships, effective communication, personal safety, and build their knowledge and confidence.
Youth who complete the program receive a free backpack full of school supplies or a $25 gift card – AND are eligible to apply for our new SCHOLARSHIP program! Held at the FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko. Lunch will be provided for attendees. Pre-registration preferred; permission slip signed by parent/guardian required: contact us at 775-753-7352, text 775-397-1874, or email [email protected].
