Healthy Teens Program for Grades 5-7
Wednesday, June 28, 9:00am-4:00pm
Family Resource Center is hosting a free Healthy Teens program for youth in Grades 5-7 (ages 10-12). “Promoting Health Among Teens” is a lively, evidence-based, age-appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information and teaches youth how to identify and handle social pressures. Participants learn about reproductive health, adolescence, hygiene, responsibility, healthy relationships, personal safety, and build their knowledge and confidence.
Youth who complete the program receive a free backpack full of school supplies or a $25 gift card – AND are eligible to apply for our new SCHOLARSHIP program! Held at the FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko. Lunch will be provided for attendees. Pre-registration preferred; permission slip signed by parent/guardian required: contact us at 775-753-7352, text 775-397-1874, or email [email protected].
