Say Helloooo to Fall: A Community Celebration Returns to Elko

local vendors  |  handmade goods   |  food  |  baked treats  |  entertainment  |  community

There is something about fall in Elko that deserves a celebration. The mornings get a little cooler, pumpkin everything starts appearing, and suddenly wandering around with a warm drink while buying things you absolutely did not plan to buy feels completely reasonable.

Cheeky Doodles Events is bringing Hello Fall back to the Kinross Nevada Igloo Rec Center on September 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for two days filled with local vendors, handmade goods, food, baked treats, entertainment and community.

This year, Hello Fall is adding even more ways for the community to get involved, including the first ever Costume Exchange, brought to you by the Elko High School Hope Squad. Families will have the opportunity to give costumes another life while helping other local kids get ready for Halloween. It’s a simple idea that brings together affordability, sustainability and neighbors helping neighbors, which fits pretty perfectly with what Hello Fall is all about.

Guests will also be treated to a dance performance by TDC, adding live entertainment to the weekend and giving local dancers a chance to show off their talents for the community.

At its heart, Hello Fall is about creating a place where our community can come together while supporting the people who make, bake, create and build businesses right here in our area.

Visitors can browse vendor booths filled with unique finds and handmade creations, grab something good to eat and enjoy a fall outing without having to drive several hours out of town. Families can spend the afternoon together, friends can make a shopping day out of it, and anyone who loves finding something different from what you’ll see on a big box store shelf will have plenty to explore.

For local small businesses, makers and community organizations, events like Hello Fall are about much more than a single sale. They’re an opportunity to meet new people, showcase what they’re doing and strengthen connections within the community. And that’s really the goal.

Come hungry. Bring a friend. Bring the kids. Watch the dancers. Exchange a costume. Browse slowly. Find something weird, wonderful or completely unnecessary that you suddenly cannot live without.

Most importantly, come spend a fall day with your community.

September 25 & 26
