The Holiday Season is here and so too are all those wonderful values of giving, kindness and tradition.
Also, around this time of year, “Shop Local!” is a cry heard as holiday gifting approaches.
And why is that you might ask? Because “Shopping Local” is a prime opportunity to explore each of those wonderful values. By Shopping Local you are giving and supporting your local community. Perhaps you’re buying seasonal foods at your local grocer; eating at independently owned restaurants; or supporting local artisans or retailers who make or sell candles, soap, jewelry, furniture, or other items that could be considered thoughtful or unique.
The Elko Area Chamber would like to do our part in supporting your “Shop Local” efforts this holiday season with their annual Shop & Win event.
From November 29th to December 19th, when you spend $25 at your favorite participating local business, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Chamber Checks.
What are Chamber Checks? They are a form of currency that the Elko Area Chamber have put into the community to stimulate local economy for the past 20 plus years. So far, this program has kept a little over $13 million local. Use Chamber Checks at a participating business in exchange for goods sold or services rendered.
