2024 Summer Championship Swim Meet

The Elko Anaconda Swim Team attended the 2024 Snake River Swimming Summer Championship in Boise, Idaho over July 19th to the 21st. The team had 8 qualifying swimmers attend: Katie Ferguson, Bryce Ferris, Eli Ferris, Bryce Jewell, Avery Sholty, Isabella Thayer, Colin Thayer, and Amelia Walsh and were led by Coach John Watson. There were 10 total teams (326 swimmers) that participated in the meet, all part of the Snake River Swimming LSC. This meet is a championship with a preliminary session in the morning and the top 8 swimmers are invited back for the finals in the evening. Elko Anacondas had a total of 27 appearances in final events over the weekend! 

Elko Anaconda Swim Team was awarded a plaque for Percentage of Best Times: 80%. The team came in 3rd out of 10 for average points per swimmer. Our athletes did an amazing job! 

If you would like to join the Elko Swim Team, we will be having try outs in September – more information to come. Swim team is a great sport all around.
