Access to Healthcare Network (AHN)began in 2007 by creating a one-of-a-kind in-the-nation program, the Access Medical Discount Plan, designed to provide comprehensive access to high-quality, life-saving, and life-changing healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured in our community. Since then, AHN has grown into a respected statewide nonprofit with 3primary locations, including an office to serve the Elko area! AHN serves over 25,000 low-income and socioeconomically vulnerable individuals and families monthly with various services and programs.

Access Medical Discount Plan is designed to provide comprehensive access to high-quality healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured in our community. Access Medical is notinsurance. Instead, our members receive healthcare services at a discounted price in exchange for payment at the time of service. Access Medical is registered with the State of Nevada Division of Insurance. Nevada Care Connection Resource Center offers FREE services helping seniors, people with disabilities, veterans, caregivers, and families, with connections to various resources in the community. We also provide support services for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing community.

SUMMER RURAL HEALTH FAIR BY
Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) provides FREE, unbiased Medicare information and counseling to Northern Nevadans. MAP counselors offer one-on-one assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their advocates in person or by telephone. In addition, the program can assist with Medicare plan information and enrollment, low-income and additional support programs, Medicare questions, billing errors, appeals, and more. Women’s Health Connection provides breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to low-income women who are uninsured or underinsured (cannot afford the cost of care). Thanks to the generosity of WHC providers, Nevada women who meet specific qualifications may be eligible to receive free cervical and breast cancer screenings at no charge. We also have a newly added program tothe Elko area! Access to Healthcare Network Transportation provides FREE non-emergent medical transportation for Senior Citizens, Disabled, and Low-Income Residents in the Greater Elko County Area. Our professional drivers can take you to medical appointments, home from the hospital, to and from outpatient procedures, to pick up medications or medical equipment, to the grocery store,Community events, senior centers, and food banks. In addition, transportation is available in the following areas: Battle Mountain, Crescent Valley, Carlin, Wells, and Elko City Limits.
