Support Scholarship and Program Funds through the GBC Foundation’s Golf Classic

As the school year comes to a close, it is a time to reflect on the lessons learned and students educated. It’s also the perfect time to begin planning for the future.

As a nonprofit, the GBC Foundation is tasked with cultivating, stewarding, and managing resources from our communities to benefit the students and programs at GBC. We continually strive to ensure every student has access to resources they may need to achieve their educational and career goals. 

During the 2021-22 school year, the GBC Foundation awarded $658,759 in scholarships directly to students at GBC. At the GBC Elko campus commencement on May 20th, 245 students walked and received diplomas. 

The GBC Foundation Golf Classic on June 24th will be held at Ruby View Golf Course. This will be the Foundation’s first fundraising event since 2019. The Foundation is thrilled to be partnering with community partners and donors to publicly show support for higher education in rural Nevada and generate continued support for students and programs. 

Golfers will have the opportunity to play for a Tesla Model 3 during the tournament in our hole-in-one contest as well as purchase tickets for a chance to put for a $10,000 cash prize. It will be a fun event and an opportunity for the community to gather and show their support for local GBC students. 

By investing in the GBC Foundation, you are not only investing in the future of the community, but making a difference in the lives of individual students who are working hard to achieve their dreams. Funds raised during the tournament will directly support the Foundation, program opportunities, and scholarships to remove financial barriers.
