Who we are?
Benavides Bucking Bulls is a family-built bull company that raises bucking bulls locally in Elko NV. We were born into and have been around the western way of life from day one but started BBBULLS in 2010. We try to help all up and coming contestants that have interest in rodeo, and or bull riding. Also, we try to support all other youth sports from softball to soccer. This year we will be hosting our 2nd annual Gold Rush Challenge and couldn’t be more excited.

Friday 9/10/21 we will have a meet n greet party that’ll take place downtown at Cooks Steakhouse and Saloon. Here you will get to meet our contractors, bull riders, bullfighters, and of course our great sponsors. We will be having a bull Calcutta that will give everyone a chance to buy a bull and root for them the night of the event. All public is welcome and speaking from experience the Calcutta’s are fun and get very competitive among buyers! You won’t buy the bulls don’t worry! All money will go into a pot and your bull will compete against the rest for all the $$ and bragging rights!
Morning of the Event??
Our event will start off on Saturday morning at 9:00am. We will buck the up-and-coming young bulls. These are 1 year old and 2-year-old bulls that are not ready for human riders but still have every bit of buck in them. These bulls will compete with a box dummy that serves the same purpose as a rider. The morning event will be free to the public and we welcome everyone to come see how much talent these calves carry in their DNA!
What to expect the night of the event??
We will kick off the night with the fan favorite mutton busting for the kids and their chance at a beautiful trophy buckle. Next, what would a great event be on such an important day if we didn’t honor our country! We will pay tribute to our first responders followed by our national anthem. Before the big boys, our young talent, kids aged 6-17 will get a chance to shine in mini bull riding. That’s all just to get the night started! The main action will be some of the best bucking bulls in the west against talented cowboys. One thing to remember is that the bulls will also be competing against one another for prize money as well as a beautiful trophy buckle.

Our event will offer up close, live bull riding action. This year and the years to come, we are committed to giving our audience an experience that’ll keep them on the edge of their seat.
