Western Spirit Foundation To Host Eureka Gold Rush Games
Never before has there been a better time to recognize the importance of mining to Nevada families. Western Spirit Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on economic development in rural Nevada invites you to celebrate Nevada’s mining heritage at the Eureka Gold Rush Games™! This family friendly event being held June 26th – 27th is an 1800s style mining competition with events such as Single Jack, Double Jack, Hand Mucking, Jack Leg Drilling, and more! There will be vendors, food, fun, concerts and games for the whole family!
The first annual Eureka Gold Rush Games™ will be held at the Eureka County Fairgrounds. Competitor Registration is available online at EurekaGoldRushGames.com. Men’s and Women’s divisions available. Competitors can win cash prizes and trophies for each category and one All Around Miner prize is up for grabs! Competitors receive a commemorative t-shirt, lunch both days and discounted banquet tickets.
Local Nevada companies are ‘Bringing the Boom’ with sponsorships! Current sponsors include Nevada Mining Association, NV Division of Tourism, NNRDA, Nevada Gold Mines, McEwen Mining and more! A portion of sponsorship funds will be used to fund a series of scholarships for rural Nevada students pursuing education in mining related fields. Sponsorship packages are still available.
Saturday night will be full of fun as award winning southern rock band Blackbird Anthem will perform immediately following the Grubstake Dinner Banquet. The concert is sponsored by Two Bitch™ Bourbon and is free to attend! The banquet is a ticketed event with main course, sides, dessert, raffles, door prizes and more!
