Battle Born Youth ChalleNGe Academy is Accepting Applications!
Inaugural Class in July
Carlin, NV— 9MAR2021 — The Battle Born Youth ChalleNGe Academy is now officially accepting Cadet applications for its July 2021 class.
Funding for the program was appropriated by the state legislature in 2019, and the campus was supposed to welcome its first class in January 2021, but due to Covid, the start date had to be moved to July. Renovations are nearing completion, staff is being hired/trained, and admissions offices have been set up in Carlin, Reno, and Las Vegas.
Cadet Applicants
16-18 year old Nevada residents who are behind on their high school credits and looking to reclaim them, are invited to apply. The program is tuition-free, voluntary, and uses a military model and an 8-core components curriculum to assist cadets in achieving their potential. There is a 22-week residential phase, followed by a 12-month post-residential phase, during which the staff maintains contact with the graduate and his/her mentor to support continued growth and success.
