Is Your Look Ready for the Holidays?
Do you want to add some shimmer or sparkle to your Christmas or Holiday Party look? Do you want to appear festive without looking like a Christmas Tree? Do you want to elegantly up-level your image for the Holidays? Do you spend a lot of time thinking about what you’re going to wear to the office Christmas Party, and then not wearing it because you think it’s too much or just wrong?
When you step outside your fashion comfort zone, it can feel awkward. I suggest that you add one or two changes or accessories to up-level your look. For women statement earrings or a bold lipstick might be just the punch you need to brighten your straight from work to the party look. Guys could add a dapper scarf, a cashmere sweater or fab hat to their ensemble to take it up a notch.
I love winter because velvet and luxe fabrics don’t look out of place. Velvet accents, damask vests, velvet cocktail dresses and cashmere anything looks so warm and wonderful this time of year. This seasons trend is more Shimmer than Sparkle. I’m seeing makeup in dazzling colors! I can’t wait to see what the “I love color” people do with those gorgeous palettes.
Glitter isn’t on trend this year, but Shimmer is. Fabrics that catch the light and reflect the sparkle are showing up on many obsessed lists, including mine. Black lace overlays are still adding a glam touch to your holiday look. The darker colors are taking a bit of a backseat to the vibrant hues in the Winter wedding styles. I love the teal and blue tones pared with the crystal shimmer accessories. The Winter wedding previews I’m seeing are simply magical.
You best holiday accessory is the easiest, it’s your smile. Wherever you go, whatever you do this holiday season. Enjoy! If you having a Zoom party or an intimate in person gathering, enjoy those that you gather with and make some wonderful memories. From my home to yours, Merry Christmas!
