Wendy Ehrmann was drawn to the arts at early age and graduated from Hartnell College in Salinas, California. She was planning to be an art teacher. As life will sometimes do, her goals were delayed. However, creating art alongside her daughters while painting pictures together, is one of her favorite lifetime memories.

Wendy Ehrmann’s paintings are famous in Elko, Nevada. You cannot live in our community without running into a bit of Ehrmann art to enjoy. Her eye for vibrancy and color values is keen. Her work has been exhibited at the Northeastern Nevada Museum, Great Basin College, and Elko County Fair. You will enjoy her art at the Lamoille Harvest Festival, October 5th this year.

She is a featured artist showing in the upcoming California Trail Interpretive Center, Southfork Library Gallery Exhibit. Nevada Wild II is opening this December. Look for Wendy Ehrmann paintings and artworks in many local art shows and exhibits.

We residents respect Wendy’s work ethic and dedication to creating art. Her studio is a beehive of energy and her many contributions to community art projects is much respected and appreciated. What I love the most about Ehrmann’s art, and speaking about it when talking with Wendy, is her great enthusiasm. Her collages “tell a story, her wax resist process is challenging, and her watercolors, her favorite medium.”
