Northeastern Nevada Featured Artists

Jodi Schultz is an extraordinarily talented artist, who is energetically experimenting and developing her artwork using many diverse and specialized mediums. Jodi is a devoted educator and she has focused a large amount of her life’s work and energy on students, lesson plans, and creating interesting examples of art projects. She’s designed and created some really impressive bulletin boards too. (All you teachers will understand!) Jodi has often traveled to Elko from her home in West Wendover to teach community art classes at the Elko County Art Club, participate in exhibits, show work during community art events, and is recognized as one of the most outstanding and creative artists in Northeastern Nevada.

Jodi was born in Billings, Montana in 1965. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in art education from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1989. Jodi continued her studies with focus on Figurative Painting, earning her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and since, has been exhibiting her artwork in venues including the John Steinbeck Museum, San Francisco’s Arc Gallery, Virginia Wesleyan College, Koehnline Museum, Brick City Center for the Arts, and Savannah College of Art and Design. Locally, she has been exhibiting in the Taber Building Art Gallery, Elko County Art Club 775-735-8170, 407 Railroad St, Elko, Nevada.

Jodi believes the arts continue to grow and thrive in our society when parents, schools, and community join to create opportunities for all ages to experience working with their hands, mixing color, and enjoying the self esteem we all feel after creating a new art project.
