Planning on a trip to Europe this year? Let’s focus on some of
the most beautiful cities in the world, starting with London.
If history, royalty and culture are what you are looking for in a vacation destination, then maybe a trip to London is right for you. A vibrant city, located right on the river Thames, London is the financial capital of the world. It is home to museums, castles and some of the best theater companies in the world. So what are we waiting for? Let’s explore London together.
Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and the Tower of London. No trip to London is complete without these national landmarks. Buckingham Palace has been the official home of British Royalty since 1837. Time your trip right and you can actually tour rooms inside the Palace. And no tour is complete without seeing the Changing of the Guard or Guard Mounting as it is known to the locals. Kensington Palace is the home to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and also the future home of Price Harry and his bride to be Meghan. It is also the prior home of Princess Diana and you can pay your respects to her here. The Tower of London is now the home to the famous Crown Jewels, but it has a deep, dark past. Did you know that it was once prison? Tour the deep, dark dungeons while you are here. It’s a must-see experience.
Maybe you want to experience the some of the newer attractions in London. How about a ride on the London Eye? This 440-foot-high Ferris wheel will give you a bird’s eye view of London. Located next to the Parliament Building, right along the river, you won’t forget this once in a lifetime experience. If you are Harry Potter fan, you can take in the making of Harry Potter tours and see the Hogwarts’s Express, the Forbidden Forest or even the Great Hall of Hogwarts’s.
How about a visit to a place of great majesty and of great mystery? For thousands of years Stonehenge has stood the test of time. It is a British cultural icon and is a legally protected monument. History tells us that is was used for fertility ceremonies, but also for burial ceremonies and astrological experiments as well. It’s a very spiritual experience to visit here, and once you have visited, some say you won’t ever be the same. Come, see for yourself.
