Glen Finley’s creativity and her heart, that of a true artist, was nourished from an early age by her habitat. Clear blue lakes and the Trinity Alps defined her space. And the compulsion to record and understand her surroundings was an important component in the development of her inner creative core. An artist she is, and always has been, working extensively with textile projects and then drawn to the fine art of exhibit photography, and transparent watercolor medium. Glen’s eye defines light and uses it to create images reflecting clarity and color. Her art exemplifies energy, space, and a sense of the history in the visual story. Her early education in the art of textiles served to sharpen her appreciation of details, patterns, colors, and composition.
The Elko County Art Club Cooperative honors Glen Ellen Finley as a 2017 Volunteer of the Month, Board Member, Art Educator, and Exhibiting Artist. The business of Gallery sales and management flourish underGlen guidance. Her understanding and ability to implement her ideas and projects from the perspective of manager and artist, is most appreciated by our growing organization.
