With 2 great ships running the same itinerary, Carnival Cruise lines has some of the best dates and pricing available for a 4-day cruise. You can easily drive to Long Beach, Ca where the ship ports from, which will save you some money on airfare. And the ships are beautiful. Twin ships originally built in 1996, they were both recently refurbished with-in the last year, and the Inspiration was recently named the best refurbished ship in 2017.
Updated with Carnivals 2.0 enhancements, the ship now boasts 2 great new restaurants, Guy’s Burger Joint(Yes, think Guy Fieri of Food Network fame) and the Blue Iguana Cantina. Both are great, and believe me when I tell you, you don’t want to miss the breakfast burritos served on deck every morning.
The ships also have some updated bars and lounges, including the EA Sports lounge, the cruise lines famous Alchemy Bar and don’t forget the Red Frog Rum bar and the Blue Iguana Cantina Bar on the pool deck either. Always a very fun time.
And for the kids, there are fun times to be had all over the ship. Carnival has partnered with Dr. Suess and they now offer the Suess at Sea program where your kids can join in a Green Eggs and Ham breakfast, a Suessapolooza reading program and a fun Suessapolooza Parade throughout the ship. Plus, you can’t forget about the pools and the waterpark. The older kids will love having their own place to chill with Club O2 and Circle “C”, age specific hang outs just for teens and preteens. You know they will love it.
As if all this isn’t enough, you still get to port in 2 great locations, Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. Fun awaits here with fun excursions, wonderful local food and great shopping.
