The tradition of Elko’s annual rodeo started in 1912 when GS Garcia\, the world-famous bit\, spur\, and saddle maker\, decided that northern Nevada cowboys needed a rodeo\, and the town needed the added entertainment and income.\nToday’s Stampede has grown into a multi-faceted event\, showcasing the best of rodeo and ranch cowboys alike. The Silver State Stampede has won the award for Best Small Rodeo in the Wilderness Circuit so many times we lost count. This is an award voted on by the competing cowboys and cowgirls which makes it even more of an honor to our rodeo. Friday & Saturday: Gates open @ 5pm. Mutton Busting/Mini-Bulls @ 6pm. PRCA Rodeo @ 7pm. Reckless Envy will perform live at the dance both nights following the rodeo. Sunday: Gates open @ 3pm. Mutton Busting/Mini-Bulls @ 4pm. PRCA Rodeo @ 5pm. Tickets can be purchased online! If you would prefer to purchase your tickets in person they will be available at J.M. Capriolas\, Boot Barn\, IFA\, and Roy’s Market. DESCRIPTION:Rotary Club of Elko Desert Sunrise-Elko\, NV \nThursday July 14\, 5:30 pm. \nCome enjoy the company of fun\, energetic\, and community service minded individuals who make a difference in the world around them.  Meetings are every Thursday starting with breakfast at 6:30 and the official meeting at 7:00am\, with the exception of the 2nd Thursday of the month when we have a social gathering at OGI Deli at 5:30pm.  Regular meetings are located at the Elko Senior Citizen Center\, 1795 Ruby View Dr\, Elko\, NV 89801 – Socials are at OGI Deli located at 460 Commercial St\, Elko\, NV 89801. Gates open at 5 PM at the Elko County Fairgrounds. First headliner beginning at 7 PM\, second headliner beginning at 8:30 PM. All concert tickets holders are invited to an after-hours party from end of concert til midnight. Tickets sold at www.summer-daze.com – General admission: $45 online\, or $50 day of the event.
