DESCRIPTION:GFWC Lamoille Women’s Club Meeting\nWednesday\, February 1 at 12 Noon \nOver the millennium women have been in search of the perfect garment that would enhance their ability to fully embrace the current fashion trend of their day.  Women’s foundations\, over history and cultures\, have been indicative of the influence of fashion\, distinguished social class\, emergence of mass production and the creation of materials (i.e.\, nylon.)  Historic characters from Catherine de Medici to Howard Hughes have been instrumental in the development of this staple in the everyday wardrobe of modern women and we are still “searching for the perfect garment.” The Lamoille Women’s Club welcomes all the Ladies of the Elko community to learn more about the “The Art of Bra Fitting\,” by our guest speaker\, co-owner Ms. Brandy Ornelas of Gabriela’s Closet located in downtown Elko. Please consider being our lunch guest which will begin at 12 Noon. DESCRIPTION:February Healthy Teens Program for Grades 5-7 \nSaturday\, February 11th\, 9:00am-4:00pm \nFamily Resource Center is hosting a free Healthy Teens program for youth in Grades 5-7 (ages 10-12). “Promoting Health Among Teens” is a lively\, evidence-based\, age-appropriate program\, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections\, HIV/AIDS\, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to help youth keep themselves safe and handle social pressures. They learn about reproductive health\, puberty\, hygiene\, responsibility\, avoiding risky behaviors\, and build knowledge and confidence. \nYouth who complete the program receive a free backpack full of school supplies or a $25 gift card – AND are eligible to apply for our new SCHOLARSHIP program! Held at the FRC\, 331 7th St. in Elko. Lunch will be provided for attendees.
