DESCRIPTION:Healthy Teens Program for Grades 8-12 \nSaturday\, November 19\, 9:00am-4:00pm \nFamily Resource Center is hosting a free Healthy Teens program for teens in Grades 8-12 (minimum age 13). “Making Proud Choices” is a lively\, evidence-based\, age-appropriate program\, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections\, HIV/AIDS\, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to help teens keep themselves safe and handle social pressures. They learn about reproductive health\, hygiene\, effective communication\, responsibility\, healthy relationships\, avoiding risky behaviors\, goal setting\, and build knowledge and confidence. Youth who complete the program receive a free backpack full of school supplies. One free incentive allowed per teen per year (Oct 2022-Sept 2023). Held at the FRC\, 331 7th St. in Elko.
